What you will find here

Most posts are short scenes — a window seat, a lamp path, a ribbon in a bookshop. Occasionally I write longer entries when something in the neighbourhood unsettles me without offering explanation, like the evening near Block 248 when sirens arrived and facts did not. I keep those pieces careful: first-person, uncertain where uncertainty is honest, never pretending to speak for neighbours I did not interview.

I use Singapore English because it is the language my block speaks — mixed, plain, sometimes blunt. Dates and times matter to me; they anchor memory when everything else blurs. Photos are mine or licensed stock chosen to match the mood of a page, not to sell you anything.

What this is not

I am not a journalist, therapist, lawyer, or property agent. Nothing here should be taken as instruction for your health, finances, housing, or safety. If I describe a place kindly, it is because it treated me kindly — your experience may differ. If I get a detail wrong, email me and I will correct it with a note at the bottom of the entry.

Say hello

I read every message that reaches [email protected]. You do not need to agree with me. You do need to be respectful. The contact form asks for PDPA consent because Singapore law matters to how I store your name and address. I do not sell mailing lists or pass notes to third parties.

Thank you for reading a personal diary in a loud internet. I am glad you found this quiet shelf.
