KangDiary

Tonight's Page

A diary kept in Choa Chu Kang — the day written down before it folds shut.

I keep this diary because Choa Chu Kang does not announce its changes — it lets you notice them on the walk home, at the wet market, or when a line in a notebook will not dry. These pages are my attempt to write the day before it closes.

You will find longer entries when something stops me mid-step — like the evening sirens near Block 248 — and shorter ones when a window seat or a market auntie says enough without drama. None of it is sponsored. None of it is instruction. If you live nearby, you might recognise the lamp posts and stall numbers; if you do not, I hope the sentences still feel like standing beside someone on a pavement, watching the block breathe.

Welcome

Pages from the block

Start with the featured piece if you want the longest read; start with the journal if you want five quick windows into ordinary hours. Either door opens onto the same neighbourhood — just different lengths.

About the diary

Written by Marcus

I am a resident who prefers pen and keyboard to performance. KangDiary is not a guidebook — it is where I file ordinary evenings, kind strangers, and the occasional hour when the neighbourhood goes quiet for no reason I can name.
